Our Team...

We believe qualified, skilled teachers are at the heart of quality childcare and early education. That is why we are proud to have a 100% qualified teaching team, committed to providing children with caring, professional and enriching learning experiences.

Early Childhood Education is a collaborative environment where multiple teachers support children through both care and learning. Because of this, teamwork is essential to delivering a strong and supportive programme.

We carefully select teachers who share our learning philosophy and encourage each team member to contribute their unique strengths to the education and care of all our children.

Team Selection

It is extremely important to select teachers and support staff who share our passion for providing a loving respectful environment. Each team member is hired for their unique strengths and they are empowered to take ownership of their contribution to the Elim community.  We also invite student teachers to join our team on a regular basis as part of our commitment to the profession. This is a great opportunity for teachers in training to learn through practical experience and to share their ideas and contemporary knowledge.  All required safety and reference checks are completed prior to employees joining the team, thereby ensuring the safety and protection of our tamariki.

Leadership Team

Our leadership team brings a rich blend of life experience and professional expertise to Elim Early Learning Centre, enhancing both our curriculum and the learning journey of every child. We embrace a collaborative, flat organisational structure that empowers each teacher to make informed decisions in the best interests of children's learning and development.

Our teaching team includes educators at every stage of their professional journey, from teachers in training to experienced practitioners with more than 30 years in early childhood education. While our experience is diverse, we are united by a shared passion for making a positive difference in the lives of the children and whānau who are part of our centre. This commitment is reflected in the meaningful relationships we build and the way we learn alongside your tamariki every day.
