Elim Early Learning Centre Cambridge
Birth - 6 Year Olds
Our curriculum takes a holistic approach to learning, offering experiences that support both individual and group development. We value natural, play-based learning, where children build important skills and abilities in ways that are meaningful to them. This strengths-based approach helps children thrive and prepares them for school and lifelong learning.
Hours
We recognise that many of our whanau need to work out of Cambridge and so accommodate travelling needs with longer hours than many other centres.
We are open from 7.15am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday throughout the year and closed for Public Holidays. We accept children from infancy through to school age. Special considerations are given to children under 6 months of age on a case by case basis.
Flexible Enrolment Options
We offer enrolment options with a short day (6hours), a standard day (6-9 hours) or a full day (10 hours) to meet the varying needs of families.
The minimum enrollment is either 2 or 3 days, depending on the age of your child.
Flexibility with visits and transitions
We understand that leaving your child in care is a significant step, and for many families it can feel both exciting and a little daunting. Every child and whānau is different, so we take a flexible and gentle approach to settling visits and transitions.
There are no set requirements around how many visits you need, how long they should be, or the timeframe over which they take place. Instead, we work alongside each family to create a transition plan that feels right for you and your child. We warmly encourage regular pop-ins, giving your child time to become familiar with our environment while also giving you the opportunity to get to know our team and share what is important to you.
All visits are free, for as long as it takes for you to feel confident and reassured that your child will be loved, known and well cared for.

A welcoming option for
3-year-olds: 3 free school-hour days
We offer 3-year-old children three free 6-hour “school hour” days each week, with all meals and snacks included. This is a lovely option for families who would like their child to gently experience the learning, friendships and routines of our centre, without needing full-day care. Places for this option are limited, and we are proud to be one of the few centres able to offer this support to families.
Supportive Maternity/Paternity packages
We recognise that having another baby is a big change for a family. Our support for your family will be tailored to your specific needs and offers a combination of discounts and free days to allow you all to adjust to the new family member.
